Cleaning and Maintenance Avoid Abrasive Cleaners: Recommends against using harsh cleaners like Comet, which are unsuitable for the dry erase surface.Simple Cleaning Method: Suggests using a water-dampened cloth for regular cleaning, especially for accidental use of non-dry erase markers.Alternative Cleaning Solutions: Recommends non-acetone fingernail polish remover for heavy-duty cleaning, providing a cost-effective and efficient method compared to commercial cleaners. A long History Coming from a music-centric household inspired the company's founder, Pearl West, to open a storefront called the West Music Company after World War II and work in music education and instrument repair. P.L. West Flutes began in the 1950s as a instrument and percussion accessories maker. West Music Instruments Enriching all people's lives through the participation in music. After decades of selling top-brand musical instruments for bands and orchestras and programs for early childhood music development and therapy, it’s a natural move for West Music to offer its instrument lines. Their extensive product lines include tambourines, streamers, recorders, beginner guitars, and harmonicas. Expert understanding of music educators, parents, and student's needs We offer percussion, string, and wind instruments all curated by our team of music experts. Compose music with your students using Dry Erase Staff Boards from West Music. Our staff template is large enough to see across the room to make checking students' boards quick and easy. Each staff is 2.25" high with spaces that are approximately .5”. The staves are separated by over an inch and include a blank writing space below that is 4.5" high. The back of the board has a blank, white, dry-erase surface. Markers The markers have a fine tip, are ULTRA LOW ODOR and are washable off skin. No more having to open all the windows every time you use them. They are also completely NON-TOXIC. Although no dry erase markers are washable off of everything, these markers can be washed off skin with soap and water. The markers use an alcohol based ink which requires the markers to be recapped to reduce how quickly they dry out. How to Clean The Marker Boards: First off, DO NOT USE abrasive cleaners. Old fashioned Comet cleaner is good for the bathtub, but bad for the Dry Erase Board. If you accidentally use a regular marker or a Vis-A-Vis on your dry erase surface you will probably get it off with a water-dampened cloth. This is normal with all dry erase surfaces. If you get something on your board that doesn't want to clean off, don't panic. You may be able to remove it from your board by going over the mark with your dry erase marker and then erasing. If that does not clean it off, there are markerboard cleaners you may purchase from various office supply stores. Most cleaners actually consist of a weak dry erase marker solution. To do a heavy-duty cleaning of our boards we recommend using some non-acetone fingernail polish remover on a soft cloth or paper towel. This method works better and costs less than commercial board cleaner. On boards purchased elsewhere, check with the manufacturer to avoid damaging your board.
